I enjoyed my introduction to croquet and the chance to play two rounds. I had expected that “afternoon tea” would be a mug from an urn and choosing one cake from a selection …..it proved much grander. My croquet partner and I had a fully laid table; our own pots of fresh tea and hot water; plates of sandwiches; and then a tray of cakes each. This quite exceeded our expectations, and we both ended up asking for a card board box to take some of the cakes home. If I’d known the servings were going to be that generous, I’d have skipped lunch. All very delicious and excellent value for money. I think the cream tea alone was worth what I had paid for the whole afternoon. Alan

I had an excellent 60th Birthday Party at Nether Edge Bowling Club, the function room was ideal with plenty of seating but spacious enough to move around. The catering was very good, with a wide range of choice including vegan and gluten free options, and the chef was very helpful in making selections. Being able to supplement the main menu with extra salads was a great feature. The whole event went very well and was good value for money.

Delicious pie and peas at the Dinner With Percy event at the Nether Edge Bowling Club during the Nether Edge Festival. This was a combined event - three short films by local film-makers and a home-made pie and peas supper cooked by Michelle Pieprzak. I had the meat option - very tender meat, tasty shortcrust pastry just as I like it. The whole event, including the film-show, was only £10, so very good value. Michelle’s pies come highly recommended.

We booked Nether Edge Bowling Club for our 40th wedding anniversary celebration. It was a great venue to accommodate everyone. Plenty of seating areas, both inside and outside. The bar worked really well for sorting out pre-paid drink, corkage for fizz and buying own drinks. The food was great too and good value, we could make our own choices from a wide selection for the buffet - and all set out for our guests to help themselves, taking the stress out of organising ourselves. Having a number of friends who are bowlers to help novices 'have a go' at bowling really enhanced the event. Everyone has commented how much they enjoyed the whole thing, which was all you can ask. The dinner menu choices were interesting and different and the food was excellent and well received by all. I booked Michelle to cater for a family reunion and was very pleased with the quality and variety of food provided. There was a fine selection of sandwiches and savouries which included very tasty quiche and onion bhajis which were very popular. My husband particularly enjoyed the salads. Everything was freshly prepared, well presented, and Michelle was friendly and helpful, constantly on hand to answer any questions. I would certainly recommend her services and hope to book again in the future.

Michelle provided a really good buffet for my 60th party - great variety, looked and tasted fresh, everybody at the party said they really enjoyed the food.

The Bowling Club's buffet service for my birthday party was great, heartily praised by many of my guests.
